Cold symptoms. The cold is a respiratory disease caused by viruses. This type of infection affects the nose, sinuses and throat.

What are the symptoms of a cold?
• Sneezing.

• Stuffy nose.

• Runny nose.

• Cough.

• Low-grade fever.

• Headache.

• Fatigue.

• Muscle aches.

• Loss of appetite.


How do you catch a cold?
These viruses are spread easily, especially during the early days, to:

• Coughing, sneezing, laughing or talking.

• Touching things that make mucus, or have been in contact with it and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

Viruses are not killed by antibiotics. Most colds are removed themselves from 5 to 7 days with rest and drinking fluids.
